pulley????
So I haven't been on here in a couple weeks, I almost sold my truck about a week and a half ago, but one of my cabmounts was really rusted so they backed out, now that cabmount has since broken completely in half. But, that's not the problem I'm asking about. Recently over the last couple days, I've been hearing this clicking or knocking. It's not the engine itself or at least it doesnt sound like it. Today it got really bad and loud. It at idle and driving. It sounds to me a pulley, but I have zero experience with pulleys or anything to do with they. So here is a video of the sound, and is thinking it's a pulley sound like I'm thinking in the correct direction? Sorry it's kind of short but I had to shorten it because the first part you couldn't hear it well.

Thats the alternator....and if it was that youd know...you said you think you saw vibration...with that sound youd def. See something...i dont think its that....have you checked the crank pulley? Because like i said thats EXACALLY what mine sounded like when mine went
engine off. rotate the belt tensioner inwards and unhook the belt, then rotate it back outwards. position the belt sort of out of the way.
spin and wiggle each pulley by hand. they should be tight, no wobble, silent, smooth, not dry, not ringy, not rattley.
if all the pulleys are ok, with belt off, start the engine and let it run for a moment. any sound? don't let it run long, because the water pump is not turning and it will overheat very quickly.
report back.
