1996 Dodge 1500 4X4 Has no brake pressure
I replaced my front right caliber i thought the piston what sticking the brake system worked prior to me removing the caliber. After i removed the caliber i bleed the brakes starting from the passenger side rear the driver rear then passenger front then driver front, I had my friend help me we pumped the brakes as he was applying the brake i bled then sealed before the pedeal bottomed repeated this several times. There is brake pressure when the truck is not running but when the truck is on there is no pressure in the pedal the brake al the way to the floor will keep the truck from rolling in gear but wont stop the truck when moving. I looked around thers is no visible leaks anywhere i didnt let the fill port go dry while bleeding.Could this be a vaccuum issue off of the booster or a proportion valve gone bad? I had to replace the rear brake cylinders due to the bleed valve where rusted and wouldnt open so i also replaced the rear drum shoes as well. The shoes are on good with no gap issue to the drum. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
You might have a leak in the brake line that goes between the gas tank and frame...the fluid might be pooling on the frame and your not seeing it drip....
And also like stated above check adjustment for rear brakes...on our trucks its a good idea to readjust the brakes every 3-4k
