help!!! 318 swap 360

Default help!!! 318 swap 360

i got a 97 dodge ram and im having some issues with the wiring harness from the 360, nothing is the same the intake plugins, plug from the distributer and mainly the plugs connecting to the computer, is the intake and distributer the same from 318 to 360, any help would be appreciated

Should be exactly the same...... unless they are different years? What year was the donor motor out of?

the 360 is out of a 2001 van, im wondering if i can just simply find a wiring harness froma 97 dodge ram and replace it and hopefully the distributer will fit on the 360, i really hope i can figure this out i shouold hace done more research before purchasing but was told they were all the same just needed weights welded on my torque converter!!!

Swapping engine sizes from different years......without researching it? Ouch!

I am not sure how much will swap out, but some of it should. Just gotta start somewhere.

You would be MUCH better off swapping the intake and sensor from the older motor to the newer motor. Too much changed in 98 to make the swap easy. It isn't just the engine harness that changed...... everything in the dash changed as well.
