Default changing trans oil at 72k miles

So, I had a basic trans oil pan change done at 40k miles and my oil is still clean however I was planning to get the full change done where they change all oil and flush out the oil from trans. However, I read that the trans on these trucks get used to the dirty oil and changing all of it to clean oil can make it slip? So, should i get the full change done or just drop the pan and change the filter?

my truck is a 2001 ram 1500, auto, 5.2 318 engine. Also, how often should the oil in the rear end be changed. I never had that done and was told that for 2nd gen rams they do go bad if they aren't changed.

Changing fluid and filter is OK. Do not do the "flush". Just draing, change filter, refill....

I don't know about the recommendation for changing gear oil in diff. Check out the service manual in the FAQ/DIY section here. You can download it. Service recommendations will be listed ther as well as the type of gear oil to use.
