Rearend ID?
Already searched so don't blast me...........
How do you tell what rearend you have? I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with 355's.....
Trying to buy some 410's for it but everyone wants to know what rearend....I tell em stock with 355's. They ask dana or what. I told tell as far as I know it's just a 9.25.
Do they call it anything else besides a 9.25?
Also, will a 2000 4x4 rearend swap out with mine.....they carried 411's didn't they? Were they a 9.25 or something else?
Thanks

Should be able to tell them Chrysler 9.25. You might wanna shop elsewhere.....
The 2000 rear end will be a Chrysler 9.25 too, 4.10 gears if is was an Off Road Edition 4x4, unless the p.o has done gear work....
Edit. If your truck is 4x4, you have to re-gear BOTH pumpkins at the SAME time, that could be why they are asking if it's Dana or whatnot. I don't know what the front axle's are in the 4x4's, I have a 4x2

Stewie's got some good input there.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Mine is 2 wheel drive.....can't get the guy who has the 4x4 rear end to find out what ratio he has....he only has the rear end. If it's not 410 I don't need it....I'll just find another source for some gears from someone who knows what's going on.
