Very nice Brian! Like you, I just picked up a 2001 Ram 1500 "Sport" a few weeks ago (although mine is not the "Offroad" version). I love it so far! I went through the entire rig right after I bought and changed all the fluids (oil, transmission fluid, front & rear differential oil, transfer case oil, coolant) as well as Plugs, Wires, cap, rotor, etc...

Mine has 134K miles on it. Zero rust. I do need to replace the front bumper since the PO hit a concrete post and pushed it in and cracked it in a couple spots. However, I am SHOCKED at how cheap parts are for thing..... although ANYTHING is cheaper than the parts for my 1986 Lamborghini Countach!!!

I just got back from Discount Tires where I had brand new American Racing Outlaw II wheels and new Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 (265/75R16) tires mounted.

 

yup i just need to get around to doing a general tuneup after this rain goes away. i have my tow mirrors to put on it tomorrow too.

loving the rims you have on yours, my buddy had those on his old 97 2nd gen just like yours.

i have all kinds of things planned for this truck to get it looking like my old 2nd gen dakota did; with the chicken lights, hids, etc
