Default Rookie question about a lift!

I feel so stupid asking.. but I bought a ram a month ago with a tuff country lift, and I want to put new shocks all the way around. The problem is I don't know if its a 3 inch or 5 inch lift. Anyway to figure it out? Anything I can measure it?

The difference between the 5" and 3" kits are that the 5" has a pitman arm and track bar drop bracket...if you got those on your truck you got the 5" kit.

What size tires are on the truck? Do the look small or do they fit the truck well? 5" lifts can clear 35s and 3" lifts can clear 33s

My trucks got 33's and I hate them. Huge offset that makes them stick way out from the fender and they rub the inner liner terribly. I know the back has blocks, but I don't see a spacer or anything in the front. How do I tell what lift is on it? What would the drop brackets look like? Sorry for the dumb questions and thread hijack, but it's raining cats and dogs and I cant get up under it to look at the moment. My goal is to find someone with stock wheels/tires and see if they want to trade.

Are you sure it's lifted? Hard to tell from your sig pic, but I wouldn't think so.

The tires aren't what has the offset, it's the rims...and the fact that the tires are so wide.

Your truck doesn't look lifted. The rear blocks should measure 3" if it's a stock 4x4. And the front normally sits 2"-3" lower than the rear. If it sits level, either your leaf springs are sagging bad or the front has spacers, or 3" lift coils or something like that.

Yeah, I know its the offset of the wheels. Maybe it does not have a lift. So I can put stock rims and tires back on it. Thats cool because I get terrible rub on turns where the fronts hit the inner liners. I was basing the lift assumption on the 33" tires, but I bet it's the offset that allows that size (33x12.5). This is a good view with it sitting pretty level.

And you can see how far they stick out.

I've got 315/75R16's (35's) so I'm guessing its a 5".

Looks like a leveling kit to me. So prob a 3 in. If all you want are new shocks, pull a shock and measure how long it is compressed and extended. Then tell whatever shock company you want your measurements and they will have the shock you need.
