Default oil pressure problems

2000 ram 1500 4wd 5.9, for some reason the idiot light goes off sometimes when idling at a stop light saying check gauges and the oil pressure is at 0, but once I hit the accelerator it goes up to about 35 pounds of pressure according to the gauge. I have replaced the oil pressure sending unit. please help me figure this out so I can fix it. thank you

Hook up a mechanical gauge that will tell you what pressure actually is.
If pressure is good, your gauge/wiring is bad. Download the factory service manual from the FAQs section and look at how the gauge and wiring is set up.
