Default my truck is squeaking from the rear!!

im new to this site and this is my first dodge ram and im lost. All of a sudden im getting a squeak kind of noise coming from my rear when i hit the gas. I changed out my universal joint. and im pretty sure its not my drum brakes. does anyone know what it could possibly be?

welcome to df. can you put the rear end up on jack stands and run it slowly and duplicate the sound.

You just changed the fluid? How bad are the gears?

Uhh.. If the spider gears were cracked I would not have put it back together.. Better replace that ASAP... Also suggest not driving it if they are cracked..

If you want to make them last longer even though they are cracked, do lots of brake stand burnouts. That should help.
