transmission

Default transmission

96 ram 1500
I had the trans rebuilt now it shifts back and forth
From 2nd to 1st and sometimes won't shift before 3 grand.
Anyone know what's wrong?

Need a bit more description.....and hows the fluid level? Must be running in neutral to get an accurate reading...and you put aft4 in it after rebuild right?

How long ago was the trans built? If not too long and still under any kind of service warranty take that b!tch back and make them fix it.

While taking off slow it it will shift into 2nd between
2 and 3 grand but as soon as it shifts to 2nd it shifts back to first
Then jumps back and forth a few times. From 1st to 2nd.
The level is good I always keep an eye on the fluids and I'm not sure
what fluid they used but when I added atf I used +4

My guess would be the tps......and there was a new torque converter in the build right? Have you done the "check valve delete " yet?

I just had this issue Check the TV cable and the Governor Seliniod and sensor/transducer also talk to your transmission shop
