Default radiator drain help please!

So I just started to do my plenum and other things today, first thing I wanted to do is drain the coolant. I want to reuse this coolant because its only half a year old in there. I can't get the coolant to drain! I turn the valve at the bottom corner of the radiator and nothing comes out. I'm frustrated as hell with it. I've stuck things up there assuming that its plugged hoping that it will unplug it but nothing. Ive tried blowing air through it too. Yes there is coolant in there. Anybody have this happen? Suggestions how to get it to drain? Thanks for your help!

its a trick valve.
turn it counter clockwise about 1/4 turn, then pull straight out, which allows you to turn it another 1/4 turn.

thank you for the help! the haynes manual didn't specify that. I'm sure I'll be asking more questions along the way

If there is any sludge in there, it will be at the valve! I had to blow compressed air into mine to get it to flow. It would only trickle as first.
