Was about to go get under there..wet and dark out tho

 

the drain plug in my 01 is 10mm hex. (NOT 3/8, that will strip it...)

 

I replaced the seal two weeks ago and it's still leaking. What are the chances that maybe it's the new seal or my yoke? I guess this weekend I'll have to pull my drive shaft again and look at the yoke.

 

If tailshaft bushing is worn and allows drive shaft to wblle, it will open up the seal. Not real likely, but possible, especially if U Joints are worn. Is it leaking at the seal? The lip or when the seal fits into housing?

 

I just replaced the drive shaft u joints less than a month ago.

It looks like that it's running down the yoke and dripping off by the u joint.

 

Bad ujoints could have damaged bushing and/or yoke. Did you look good at sealing area? Bushing is not expensive, but a PITA to remove/install.

 

Going back and looking at the pic you posted it looks like the yoke. Did you by any chance clean it up and apply a sealant like in the vid? If so it my be to far gone and need replacement :[ Don't get me wrong it also looked like the seal was bad too so it's not like you wasted your money/time..

 

You do a lot of off roading? Might be as simple as a plugged vent line for the t case.
