Default strange intake

I was in pepboys the other day..and I saw this whole section of this set of stuff for making a custom dual air intake, with like chrome tubing and all that jazz..anybody know anything about htis...could I benifit from that, over like a k&n intake kit...cuz I could do this dual a lot cheaper..and the intake points go like right brhind the grill..so I imagine it gets loads of air..any opinions?

it wasn't specifically for our trucks..just a custom thing..where they had an assortment of different bend chrome intake tubes and flexibal tubes..to route your very own thing..to make it as clean looking as you want

My dad used one of their pre-bent tubes and used a K&N filter on his 318 ZJ. It gave him a little more power, and you can hear the intake more. Keep in mind that these don't have the box that goes behind the filter to insure cold air being taken into the engine, a big plus with the K&N, and similar intake systems. But for the price difference, Its hard to pass up.

i could always make my own box..with some like sheet metal or even some carbon fiber sheets..that'd look alot better than sheet metal, then line the inside with some aluminum heat wrap stuff..just ideas.
