Angry Issue with power steering pressure hose?

My girlfriends truck is a 2001 5.2 Ram, 4x4. This past weekend, i started to tackle replacing her steering box, to find both line fittings horribly rotted. Easy enough, get new lines right? Turns out not so much. I've not gotten TWO new lines from 2 different places, both incorrect. The shape and bends are fine, but where on her truck there is an 18mm nut holding the line into the back of pump, both new lines have a 16mm nut. Clearly an issue. Am i getting the wrong line? Was there a design change somewhere along the lines that i'll need to replace the pump too? Any insight would be helpful.

I just replaced my gear box and all new hoses recently on my 2000. I used Gates hoses and had no problem. BTW, I just checked and the one on the back of the pump comes off with a 16mm wrench. I assume you've tried screwing it in?

I replaced my hoses a while back. Got them from Autozone and had no issue. Don't remember brand. (mine is a 99, but I think they are the same as a 2001.)

at the time, i couldnt take it apart enough to disable the truck incase things went horribly wrong. tore back into it tonight, and the part the wrench goes on, on the fitting was different sizes, but the fitting itself was the same. it was just enough to throw me off that i more or less just assumed it was wrong. all better now
