Running 35x12.5s on 4.10s
It's that time soon the truck will be due for tires shortly! Right now I'm clearing 33x12.5s fine and was pricing out tires and with my weird rim size there is not much to choose from. I'm thinking of stepping it up to a 35x12.5, since its only 10 dollars more a tire. It will rub the back of the cab unfortunately at full lock, since I only have about 2 or 3 inches from the tire to back of cab wall at the door. Clears the control arms and everything with my huge offset on the rims only thing is that cab corner and probably bottom of front bumper.
So to solve that I thought of just doing a 2inch body lift, which should do it. How hard is it to extend shift linkages and steering? Also will brake lines need to be longer?
I'm doing this on the theory that going bigger tires should increase my gas mileage since I'm on 4.10s? Is this the right thinking or not and is it even worth all the effort?

I know with a 98, you have to weld a peice to make up for the lift into the transmission linkage. My transfer case linkage is adjustable so that was easy. You don't have to touch brake lines.
With 4.10s, you will get best gas mileage with 33s. 4.10s and 33s practically bring the truck back to stock performance and mileage. same with 35s and 4.56s. However the mileage drop shouldn't be too noticeable.

Unless you drive strictly flat freeway, you will loose MPG and lowered end power going to the 35's unless you regear.
I ran 35's on my last rig with 4.10's, 15mpg on the freeway, however in town it dropped to 10 and running around town lowered end power suffered compaired to running the 33's

You will rub significantly with only the 2" level on the ORE 1.5ish. I had .5" to spare on clearance to pinch weld with ORE 1.5" and 3" BL. Adding the 2.5" coil spacers now clears the pinch weld by about 2" ish. That's with the 315mm width (12.4") smidge.
Front bumper will not be an issue. Perhaps you got a friend or accommodating shop that would test fit used 35x12.5. Just being careful for you buddy.
No matter what, increase of tire size decreases mpg, but you didn't get a big dumb truck for mpg....did ya?

I'm getting about 10 mpg with mixed driving and cant afford to loose more mileage. Honestly how much worse would it be? I don't wonna be spending another 250 on a body lift, when ill feel it even more at the pump considering im still in school and working on min wage. I mean it would look cool and all.

What was it before hand without your 35s?
btw you said I would rub significantly, I'm thinking it will only kiss the pinch weld as when i was doing my full lock yesterday with my 33s. I could actually stick my whole arm between tire and pinch weld.
