Default Who has replaced their head liner?

I am sure the people in Fla have been through this long ago, but my head liner is starting to separate. In the northeast we don't have the luxury of having a shop on every corner offering the replacement for $75. I called around to a few trim shops and was quoted $250 and up. I know I can get the material for $30 or so and a can of spray adhesive and I am set. My question is what color closest matches the grey interior? I don't plan on recovering the visors so I would like to get something close.

You can do it yourself in a weekend. Yes a good spray adhesive works great. I did mine in camo about 5 years ago. I have a little sagging in the back now, but not that noticeable. Getting the headliner in and out of the truck takes some angling talent, but not impossible. If your going with grey, cut a small piece of the headliner, and take it to color match material. Your gonna pull the old stuff off anyway.

Here is mine

My original is still holding up just fine (been in FL for 10yrs)... but I had to do my wife's 2000 Neon last month.
Material and glue (shipped) was ~$46... took the liner out and cleaned it up in a few hours on one weekend, glued, trimmed, and refitted it the next... cleaning the backing board took the most time.

I did mine in a day in black just some head linner from the local fabric store the black looks good but i painted most of the other components black to match. I used the adhesive from the fabric store, It has been holding up perfect and ive had it in for about 3 months. Good luck

Wow! That adhesive is expensive. $21 a can! I assume you only need one.

I don't think I used half a can doing the Neon.

I got the fabric and adhesive from StockInteriors.com

The adhesive was $12.95

Moparonlineparts dot com

The price they sell for is dead on what my cost as a tech is. Of course there is some shipping to consider. Very easy for 2 people to put in though.

Why would the trim adhesive be High Temp anyway? Barbecuing in your cab?

I just took off the liner and used a scrub to get the foam off. Then I just used the black plastic spray used for tool handles and sprayed a few coats on. 10 to 15 bucks depending on were you get the spray.
