Default 2000 RPM idle, on its own

So this morning I started the truck to run some errands, the Idle shot up to 2000 RPM's on its own. It is somewhat chilly this morning @ 45degrees out. Tried kicking down the idle by tapping the gas with no luck. Shut the truck off and restarted it, same thing 2000 RPM. Let it run like that for 10 minutes, still nothing. Odd. Recent replacements, TPS, IAC, cleaned TB. Everything was fine after all those replacements, any suggestions as to why its doing this suddenly.

Pulled, IAC, still looks new, plunger moves in and out. Put back in, still high idle. I disconnected battery for 5 min. Reset PCM, started, idles fine again. Still doesn't answer question as to the problem. If a week from now it does it again.

Yup. It's a Dodge. In my case it idles around 250-350 RPM normally LOL wish it would idle around 575.

Umm, the problem is the IAC. Did you clean it and the TB port? https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-r...n-the-iac.html

And just so you know, cleaning the IAC does not mean it works. You still may need a new one. But the TB still needs to be cleaned before installing a new IAC. And disconnect the negative battery cable BEFORE doing so. And even for cleaning for that matter.
