Default gearing questions and diff carraige

i am trying to figure out what to do here and im at my witts end. i cant seem to find a good fit.

i currently run 36" toyo tires on a 99 long bed quad cab. its got 3.55 ratio with a factory limited slip rear. i am thinking i want to go up to 4.56 to bring things back to a stock feel. in the front i KNOW i want a selectable, either OX or ARB but the rear is whats screwing me over...

i cant find a LSD outside of a trac-lok or a detroit for my dana 70. i fear the detroit would be to extreme for a street truck that will only get some off road and also may end up towing. i can find some eatons for 4.10 and down but none for 4.10 and up, so im thinking... maybe i can take my factory LSD and use some kind of spacer or thick gears to add 4.56 in the rear. maybe i can buy a new carraige and install a lock rite, or i can spend a load more cash and buy an ARB for the rear. i just dont think i need a selectable in the rear...

what do you guys think? is a detroit to much? is a lock rite strong? should i go selectable? cost is a major issue here... if i can spend 600.00 on the rear diff instead of 1200.00 that would be huge. i CAN drop the money for a ARB front and rear but i have more to repair on this truck than just gearing.

thanks

i think its the HD version of the D70. the front is a D60, i think the rear is a 32 spline if im not mistaken. im just getting frustrated at trying to find parts. it almost makes me want to keep the 3.55's. the sticker says its got a GVRW of 8800Lbs. the information i find online however states the D70 is 32 spline BUT is a 7500Lbs rating so idk if there is a difference.

i think i found a cheap solution... let me know what we think of this. i keep my factory LSD and install some thick gears from YG. they run about 400.00 and this would save me over 1100.00 that i can put into the front end ARB or OX.

has anyone used thick gears? are they just as strong or stronger? would my factory LSD need to be rebuilt? could i rebuild it? who even makes it?

I could be wrong , but I don't think you need thick cut gears on a D60 or D70. Have you checked out this place? http://www.ringpinion.com/default.aspx

yes, randys is where i was looking to get my parts, ive ordered from them before. the thick gears would allow me to run a 4.56 on a 4.10 and down carrier

I thought that was just for the Dana 44 axles. I didn't remember the 60 or 70 needing those.

maybe ill email randys and see what they say. i had thought regardless of axle you need to swap carriages when you go past that 4.10 ratio
