Default ABS brake light on..... now no brake lights

my ABS brake light came on about a week ago figured it was where my dog had chewed off the wires. spliced it and re-did it, still didn't fix it and now my brake lights don't work. checked fuses everything is good. Just got so pissed off I had to walk away and figured I'd start here.

Feed your dog better? Seriously, did you make sure you spiced everything back correctly? How did you splice? Solder or use butt splices? I'd double check the wiring if it worked before the dog ate your wires.

Where did the dog chew the wires? May want to pull the knee bolster off and check the wiring under there.

At the rear end? Disconnect the battery ground for a bit and see if that helps on waring light. Check fuses for brake light and RAWL in the PDC under the hood.
