Default Tuners, license plate socket, etc.

Hello all, first off, I'd like to hear some opinions on different tuners available for the gas burners. I have an '01 with a 5.9. I know SCT is the favored tuner around this forum, but I have a gut feeling that it can't adjust the speedometer to accommodate for my 35's. Any in-depth info and pricing is appreciated! Second, my license plate light will not go into the socket, it's either corroded or broken. The wire just hangs down with the bulb sitting in it. Any place I can obtain a replacement? or perhaps someone knows a fix. Any info on this is also appreciated. Lastly, I've heard you cannot use a throttle body spacer with a CAI. Is this true? Thank you for any input.

Better question is why would you want to? Throttle body spacer on these multiport fuel injection motors is useless. A paper weight.

And a expensive CAI Kit is almost useless too, most of them draw air from the same location as the stock air cleaner.

Never said I wanted one. Simply asking if they worked with CAI's.

But they do reduce pumping loss as compared to the stock air box, so there's some benefit to be had by stuffing a big fat pipe and a less restrictive air filter on there.

For the license plate lights you need these:
Amazon Amazon

( Mopar part # 5179988AB )

I think Dorman also makes em, I needed 2 a couple months ago. Just got em at the local parts store.

The light socket is one piece. To replace the bulbs, you need to remove the two screws and the lens. If the socket was pulled from the backside, the socket is now broke. I got a new set off ebay.

For the tuner, SCT fron Hemifever is reguarded as the best here, but you cannot adjust for tire size. You can with (I think) Superchips.

Well that's disappointing about the SCT not being able to adjust for tires. Thank you for the input on the license plate lights, I'll be ordering my replacements today!

I got to at O'Reilly's. The plug was different, I just spliced the old connector onto the new sockets and called it a day.
