Just got one of those cupholders that sit in the console and rest under the lid, got it from genos garage. The catch on the lower part of the console won't screw in or out, its kinda stuck tried to get at it with pliers but no luck. Does anyone have an idea how to get this thing to come out so my console lid will shut with the new cup holder thing installed?

 

anyone got a clue? Does the plastic tray lift out so maybe I could try to get a better grab on it?

 

Use vise grips.

I don't need a pic. LOL Use vise grips to turn the stud counter clockwise until the latch catches.
