Arrow Do i have to extent my driveshafts for a 5.5 inch skyjacker lift?

Hey guys.. I'm quite new here and I'm currently working on putting a skyjacker lift on my truck and was wondering whether or not it was required to lengthen my driveshafts to where the splines don't get stripped on them.. thanks

Shouldn't be necessary. Merc225hp might stop in here some time, he had the 5" skyjacker on for a while and just went to 7" and I think he's still running stock drivelines.

WBR is right no mods are needed to be done to the drive shafts with a 5" lift. I am pushing the limits of the front DS with the 7" lift, drop the drivers side wheel in a deep hole and I will pull it apart.

the only time i had to have a custom drive shaft cut was when i put a D80 in a 1500. the local drive shop did it in a day for 50 bucks.

Probably had to shorten it though, way cheaper than lengthening.

Nope nor do I plan to, mid 70's chevy or gmc front shaft will take care of my problem. Just waiting for the right one to come my way cheap.

Was also wondering the same thing! Glad I pondered on this. I have the 2" factory (bigger springs) for the ORE. I was planning on adding a 2" level + 3-4" suspension addition to what's OEM installed.
