Default Dropping her back down.

In need of some new tires and can't stand how sluggish my truck is when I'm towing or just driving around with 285 75 16. I'm thinking going back down to stock 245 but I'm thinking its ganna be to big of a change for me. Will i still get a increase in power and what not going down to 265? I have stock gears 3.55. I'm thinking about taking the leveling kit off just to bump up my mpg, can I keep the shocks that are on the front that have the 2in lift of do I need to buy new ones. I don't wanna do any of this but I'm due for new tires and am getting another truck in the spring.

Talk to his guy, he went back to 245's, sorta close to 265s. I have 265/70/17s and it's not sluggish, now that he cat is gone

I'm running around on 265's on 3.55 gears and have no complaints.

Same here, 265s with the 3.55s, not the best pulling power, but not the worst either I guess. I've always wanted to go up to 285s but the only thing holdin me back is the loss of power, wish gears were cheaper...

I always thought my truck did fairly good pulling but I'm sure when I go down even 1 size it will be a heck of a lot better will probably bump mpg doing so to
