Default 1996 Ram 1500 Rough idle

My ram started to idle badly just about a week ago. Sometimes it will idle fine after starting and sometimes it won't. Could this be a CPS? I don't think its the IAC but let me know what you think.

Try cleaning the IAC for the hell of it , and disconnect the negative battery cable before doing so. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-r...n-the-iac.html

Guessing it did, never heard back from him. At least cleaning the IAC part. The throttle position sensor can cause short intervals of rpm surges also...but would drop back to normal idle, at least that's what mine did on it's way out. Welcome to DF! Reply back with results.
