Default 2000 Ram 1500 Transmission Pan

Looking for any help. Looking to replace my stock transmission pan on my 2000 Ram 1500 4wd 5.9L. Mine is rusty and the paint is peeling off. I am going to be doing the filter soon and would like to replace the pan at the same time. I believe it is the 46RE in the truck. Looking online for a replacement pan. I found one on the web that says it is for the 46RE but states for a 2000 RAM 1500 Van. Are all 46RE pans the same? The one I am looking at is stock size with the magnet and also has a drain plug for $50.00. I am wondering if it is the same and will work for my truck.

Look no further, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/de...0/media/images, except to find a cheaper price

If you do any towing I would suggest a deep pan for added capacity.

i think all the 46,47,48 re/rh, are the same. A518/727 are mostly the same too. they are usually all listed together. however, the 727 is shallow and the re/rh is deeper to accomodate all the newer crap.

my 47rh/727 pan was way thin, almost half as thick as the pan on the 46re... I swapped it out for a mag hytec deep pan with a temp senser and magnetic drain plug
