Bad news is that my uncle sold the truck for $500 so there goes a steal. Guess I'm on the option 2 which would be looking for 3/4 ton parts and a 5 spd transmission from somewhere else. Quick question: Would a NV4500 bolt up to a 318 pretty decent?

 

Pretty decent? If its an NV4500 from a v8 truck it will bolt right up. You would just need a 318 flywheel. The diesel/v10 NV4500s use a larger input shaft which makes clutch application tricky.

 

I should have reworded but I meant a NV4500 from a 360 but I kinda guessed there wouldn't be much that would be bad, just had to make sure.
