it was a MAJOR PIA!!! once i started learning to work on my own truck i finally understood why i heard my grandpa cussing all the time! I like orileys. the one here in town always help me out and order anything i need and know what they and i are talking about

You don't need to remove the TB. Just remove the air intake and it's right there on the back.

And btw, FelPro part# 60958-1 is the TB gasket.

yea but im 5'5 lol doing anything in this truck is a PIA lol getting in the truck is a PIA lol but i love it so :-)

Default Dakota too?

Hello,

I know this thread was about a Ram that was stalling, but would the same "answer" work for an 01 Dakota 4.7? If so, does anyone know where is this jewel located on my 4.7? I'm asking as Tex (my Amber Fire Dakota) started stalling at lights this morning. The RPMs (while sitting a stoplights) have either been surging or plummeting for a bit, but today it started stalling. Putting it in neutral keeps it running so does a foot on the break and the gas. Thanks for the help, Kelli.

An 01 4.7 Dak does indeed have an IAC. SO, I guess you'll have to try it out.
