Ok, after searching threads over the last few months... I have replaced..

torque converter (dealer done, they didnt offer/I didnt think to have them check other items when it was getting worked on)
IAC
MAP
VSS
TPS
4 sensors/solenoids in the tranny
fixed vacuum leak
looked at TSB for my year, this error.

(thanks to all those that replied to these threads on this problem, gave me directions to go and look for)

Still getting the error, randomly. Shifts and drives fine.

2 questions..

Is there anything left other then a complete rebuild?

If I drive this as is (20 miles to work, 20 miles back, 2-3 times weekly) am I going to damage anything?

Just looking for any options other then a $2500 rebuild...
