It usually goes by the year, make, model, and vehicle GVWR (when dealing with trucks). The GVWR can be found on the label on the driver side door frame. In your case, you may also have to find shocks that are for the "off-road package". They had special shocks from the factory (they were possibly larger too [>:]), and you will need something different from the norm to retain that performance.

well i done my home work... i ended up going with a set of procomp ES3000 ... it was a really good deal.. 4 shocks and 4 boots (choice of color) and a free ES2000 steering stabalizer... and free shippin for like 120... over at 4wheelparts.com check it out if anyone is in the market for new shocks....
