Exclamation Vacuum Sound While Accelerating

Hey guys, I have what sounds like a possible vacuum leak coming from under the hood while accelerating. The sound itself is prominent from 0 to about 45 when it hits OD. When it shifts into over drive the RPM's level out as they should and the sound goes away. I'm not sure if it's coming from somewhere in the engine or transmission. My thought was that it may be a vaccum line on the trans for the 4x4 but I can't be sure. Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this and if so how was it fixed. The noise is a mixture of a vaccum sound and a whining noise. Not sure what it is but I know it's annoying to listen to when driving with the radio off. Thanks everybody, and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hello,

You can check the gasket between the air cleaner and the throttle body, if this is missing or cracked, it usually makes a nice lil whistle or it could be any of the vacuum lines which can be checked by spraying them with carb cleaner, brake cleaner or WD-40, if the rpms raise while spraying, you found your leak.

Thanks for the tip. Where are most of the major vacuum lines located, and are they easy to get to? I'll be sure to check them out.
