I just swapped transmissions on my 98 v6 everything bolted and plugged up perfectly except the shifting linkage bracket deal the previous tranny it was mounted on top in this transmission it's mounted on the side I don't have the bracket that's made for the side I have the one that's made for top mount any way to fix this or can I buy the side mounted bracket?

 

sounds like maybe the new one came from a different vehicle: van, durango, etc.

any way to move all your linkage and brackets from the old trans to the new?

 

That's what I did man worked like a charm! Preciate it though.
