Default Disabled Ram... Trans

Well, my reverse in the trans has went out. I heard it grind once and ever since you have to floor it and let off to get the gear to catch. And when it catches, its very very weak. I wish I could get a Nv4500 but i have yet to find one close by, nevertheless in my budget. Any help or advice to offer?

www.Man-trans.com has them cheap. But a donor truck would come with everything.

I Paid $1275 w/round trip shipping for core return.

Well I searched the salvage yards in your area, try calling 1-800-678-1888. They are showing that they have a 5spd off of a 1998 Dodge ram 2500 5.9L Gas. You will have to verify that it is a NV4500, as not all 2500s were equipped with NV4500. All 2500HDs were. Stock No. 212318. Make sure it has all the parts you need though... BTW that is in Florence Alabama.
