According to that site.. that transmission will bolt up to a 318 94-97 dodge ram.. is that a typo? I thought i read someone on here say a NV4500 won't bolt to a 318 at all.? just wondering

3/4 tons came standard with an NV4500. Most of the v8's got auto's though. My '95 has a 360/NV4500 combo in it. The v8 NV4500 is slightly different than the v10/diesel version. Smaller input shaft, smaller output. Still a stout trans for sure. I love mine.


Since the 318's use the same bolt pattern as the 360's, the v8 NV4500 will bolt right up to the 318. Just make sure you use a 318 specific flywheel. 318's are internally balanced, while 360's are externally balanced.
