Default 1997 Ram 1500 5.2 HVAC and cruise control problems! help!

I have a 1997 ram 1500 with a 318. It seems as if i have a wacky vents problem, however it doesn't switch from vents to defrost when im driving. it always stays on defrost and feet. Also, my cruise control doesnt work and hasn't since i can remember. My defrost and feet will also have a slow air flow when i am driving and have the switch if "off" position. Anyone experienced these problems? Thanks!

If the cruise doesn't work, check the vac line that goes to it. (under the battery) You have a vac leak and need to find it.

I had pretty much the same problem, there are three vacuum lines joined together passenger side just in front of the firewall, one of mine was disconnected. In any event it's almost certainly a vacuum issue.

There is a check valve in that bundle of lines also. Check/replace as needed.

I can't find the vac line for the cruise on my 1997 ram 1500. 318. I can find it on the cruise module under the battery but the line is severed there and I can't find the other end that goes to the engine. Can some one send a pic or instructions?

Go over to passenger side of intake manifold, just below throttle body. Post there has a hose coming out then a tee and check valve. Other end of broken tubing should be there.

Search for "wild vents", plenty of info on this issue on the site.
