I've searched, and I know that the coils of a 2500 2nd gen will fit my 1500.
But, will a 2005 3rd gen 2500 coils fit on my 2001 1500?
I grabbed the shocks and coild off my dad's truck in hopes that they will bolt in just like the 2nd gen 2500.
Perfect, all I wanted to know is if they would fit. I'm not sure about the 3rd gen springs but I know that if were the diesel or V-10 2nd gen I'd get about 3". A wee bit less with the gas springs.
Now I can level off my truck and fit some 35's under it. Thanks fir the head up.
Oh, forgot to ask:
Will the shocks fit too? Or should I keep mine?
His has a heck of a lot less mileage on them. And I figured with the height gain, I'd need to put longer shocks in.
Shocks will fit atleast on the rear i know they will.. Ive got 04 2500 shocks on the rear of my truck.. Never got around to putting the front springs and shocks on
I assume they would be. I'll have to wait and find out. I figure if the parts only have 20k on them, then they're pretty much brand new. No sense in wasting good parts.. assuming they fit. I'll try the rear's while I'm at it. mine aren't completely finished... but couldn't hurt to replace them, right.
