At this point I just hope I can salvage the rotors if that turns out to be the case.
"Pins" what are these? Could these be in reference to the shoes slide on as they wear down. Or is this reference to linkage to the wheels

There is the unanswered question #1 about the sequence of the startup panel lights
The fact that the ABS and Brake lights briefly come back on after the other lights have gone off and then as I said after maybe 5 sec's or less turn off. This can all happen prior to starting the motor or if I'm quicker starting the motor a second or two after the motor is running.
Is this the normal pattern? Or is this part of the issue I'm dealing with?
