Re-gearing front axle questions

Re-gearing front axle questions
In the summer I re-geared my rear axle to 4.10 motive ring and pinion. At the time I did not have money to do the front axle. Now that winter is here and snow and ice are on the way I would like to have 4wd again.
So I am looking at superior 4.11 thick cut ring and pinion for the d44 and I have some questions;
Is it correct that I need thick cut gears so I can re-use the stock 3.55 carrier with my new 4.10?
Will the superior 4.11 gears work with my currently installed motive 4.10 gears? As there is a slight difference in ratio.
Lastly has anyone run superior gears or here'd anything bad about them?
Thank you.

4.10 and 4.11 are the same thing, so no worries there.
and yes, the thick gears allow you to avoid replacing the 3.55 carrier with the 3.92 (and up). don't confuse this with reverse cut, which are for high pinion.
i don't know anything about superior, but, since the ring/pinion and drive shaft only turn when in 4wd, unless you do an awful lot of 4wd highway driving - then if you want to go cheap, the front is the place to do it. during 2wd operation, all the the drivers side rotation is transmitted through the spider gears to the passenger side intermediate shaft and no rotation of ring/pinion even occurs.

Thanks dhvaughan. I hardly ever drive in 4wd on the highway.
Also it's not that I want to go cheap it's just my parts supplier can only get Richmond, motive, g2 and superior gear ring and opinions. From my research out of those companies only superior has thick cut 4.11s.
I am going to ask the parts store if he can bring in Yukon gears.

caution - yukons are likely the most expensive.
the carrier is also a little pricey, maybe $100. so if you can get anyone's thick cut gears for the same price as standard, its money in the bank.
i'd look for "made in USA" gears, and any name brand will be fine.
i'd avoid no-name made in china. the installation is so expensive, its not worth the risk of no-name gears.
you installing yourself or paying someone? i'm curious, what's your install price, front and rear?

I have a quote of $400-500 for the labor to do the front re-gear They said they can not give an exact price until they actually do the work. The shop doing it is the most respected gear/tranny shop in my city so I am paying a premium for that.
Thank you dhvaughan and zman for the links but I will however be going with my local parts store. As I live in Canada and having parts shipped from the states can get costly even though they are initially cheaper, they usually end up with a hefty charge from crossing the border.
Also it is easier and cheaper for me to return the gears to the parts store if I encounter problems with the product than it is for me to ship them back across the border for warranty.

As you are in Canada check out these guys, same parts I am using. Much cheaper than Yukon parts up here. If I remember right I paid $250 for the 44 gear set.

Edit: Fill in your location info so people know you are from Canada, it helps save time when hunting for parts. These guys are helping you thinking you are from the U.S and there parts hunt is based on that.
