Default 96' 2500 4x4 track bar issues

So i started getting a small wobble in my front end like the death wobble but far less severe and after some investigation i have narrowed the problem down to the track bar. The owner before me installed the beafy rare parts adjustable track bar but the ball joint is kinda loose and on the other end the bushing is loose too. I can buy new bushings but not a new ball joint. I've heard that the rare parts track bar is good but i'm leanin toward a 3rd gen track bar conversion. Is it worth the time and money?

I've heard good things about about the 3rd gen track bar conversions, been thinking of doing it also. You should look into the rock solid ram steering fix also. rocksolidramtrucksteering.com

Get a Moog track bar for it, the ball joint is far more stout then the OEM version.

I just rebuilt the front end on my '96 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 and went with an adjustable track bar and bracket from these folks:

http://www.solidsteel.biz/

This track bar will certainly be the last track bar this truck will ever see! Its a very well made piece!

Prior to the front end rebuild, I experienced death wobble, too, however, it was a combination of several worn front end parts (lower ball joints, front wheel bearings, front U-joints, inner tie rod ends and the track bar). I also installed a Solid Steel steering stabilizer that ties the frame and the steering box output shaft. Now the truck rides nicely, but still wanders a bit, due to my OEM steering box and intermediate steering shaft being worn out. I plan to replace those parts with Borgeson pieces shortly.
