Angry electrical bulls**t!!!

so this is going to be long but i have to rant about this. i got an aftermarket radio so i can actually get radio reception. i went to best buy to buy the wiring harness. no problems there. wired it up in the parking lot. worked fine but couldnt get a permanent ground so i decided to go home and deal with that. got home and finally found a good, stable ground and the left side speakers dont work. a wire was untwisted, no problem. fixed that. turn truck on for radio and no sound at all comes out. wtf. plug in stock radio, sounds just fine. so i decided to undo the wiring form the radio to harness, i do that and now, no after market radio, no stock radio, no dome lights, no cargo lights, no ignition light (the green one), and no power mirrors........ HOW IN THE HELL DOES A RADIO EFFECT ALL THAT!!! i checked all the fuses and none are blown. ive been told that its a wiring issue or a ground issue somewhere. but i didnt screw with anything i wasnt suppose to. and this isnt my first radio install so i dont know what the hells goin on. my entire dash is on my passenger floorboard.

tl;dr everything worked, now some stuff doesnt

anyhow, i just wanted to bitch and complain about my truck trouble today. any help or advice is always welcome

there are some fuses in the end of the dash, drivers side.
then another treasure-trove in the power distribution center (pdc). the black box beside the battery.

look for one labeled IOD (ignition off draw).

if you have the factory "infinity" sound system, it has powered amps/crossover-thingys on the speakers, and you'll have to get power to them or you may not have speaker sound.

be sure to disconnect battery when working with anything electrical.

That is indeed the IOD fuse. Some have a black case and some have a yellow one.
