Default 5in or 7in

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 4x4. I am getting a skyjacker lift with super swamper boggers and wanted to know which would be better, 5in. with 35's or 7in. with 38's? And, do I need to change my gears from a 3.55 to a 4.10 or a 4.55?
Thanks

with 38's go with 4.55 and 7" lift, for 35's 5 inch lift and 4.10 gears will be fine, but u have to make sure the lift isnt a rear block kit, because you would want to keep your stock block in the back for that extra lift

I have a 2001 Ram with a 5 inch and 35s. Its my DD and I love it, I would not want to go much bigger with my DD. Don't get me wrong, the bigger the better, just have to keep in mind what it is used for. As far as gears go, I had a post a couple days ago regarding them, with 35s, 4.27 to 4.56 is the best bet because of more weight in tires and worst wind resistance.

With a 5in lift do you need to get longer brake lines, and do you have to change any thing else by going to the 5in?

I dont think you need longer brake lines. Im replacing mine anyway. the only other thing you need is new shocks. thats about it
