It will be a distinct whir when you turn the key and the chimes come on/go off.


If you don't hear it, it ain't running. lol

If that's the case, either you've got a bad fuel pump or a bad relay under the hood.

Have been told the fuel pump has never been replaced. It has over 190,000miles

you can switch a good relay with the fuel pump relay, see if the pump comes back. If not might be time for new pump.
