Did the mileage change?
its illegal to sell a vehicle where the odometer has been changed.

According to the 2001 service manual, it's stored in a number of places to help prevent odometer fraud.

If it doesn't have SKIM, there's no way to force a VIN change with a scan tool. The mileage in the PCM will have the donor miles on it, but I wouldn't worry about it.

Not every state has the ridiculous inspections that the south and the NE force down yall's throats.

The grey security key. You don't have it. I was speaking in general. Your VIN can't be changed.
