Exclamation 2001 Ram 1500 5.9l 2wd Problem

Hi guys, I am new to the Dodge forum and wanted to say hi for the first time. My 2001 Dodge Ram has begun to stop working properly. The problem is when I turn the truck on it runs for a couple of minutes when i'm driving, but then randomly starts failing where the car won't go when I push the gas and it slowly shuts off. Things that may be a factor is that its snowy and cold outside but it started to do this before the snow and cold. It happens when I tried to turn the truck on yesterday it just shut off. The problem happens every time I drive. Also when I stop at traffic lights when the car is on idle it begins to choke till it shuts off. If there is a solution I would greatly appreciate it Thank you guys and hope to be here on the site for a while.

A little vague, but I'll give you a few ideas off the top of my head.

Last tuneup? When? what?
Any CEL's? Have a code reader?
Any exhaust work done? A Clogged cat will show symptoms your describing.
Has the Plenum been done? (Use the search feature here to research)
And a long shot, and I don't think its quite related. But, condition of the trans?

Could also be a failing IAC. Take it out and clean it and the throttle body real good. Welcome to the forum!

I'll try to clean out the IAC, and I heard it might be the cat but no codes.

DDX pull the front o2 out of the pipe. classic check for a clogged cat. also means the number eight plug and plenum are gone. plenum thread at top of section is an informative read.
