Default Trans swap

Trying to find out if a 01 dodge ram 3500 Cummings 24v trans will fit in my 95 ram 2500 with the 12v Cummings will work if I swapped out the computers also. The 01 has a crack block and the 95 has a bad trans, can somebody please help me.

Auto to manual, auto to auto, manual to manual, or...?
There's plenty of swap threads on here and cumminsforum

You have a 47re electronically conrolled trans from the 01 Cummins.

You could swap it into the 95 and use a manual valvebody. BUT you will likely be money and headaches ahead by selling the 47re and parting the truck.

Rebuilding the 47rh isnt that expensive. Bought my rebuilt 47rh with billet torque converter, new steels and clutches, and shift kit for only $750.

I think he was referring to the engine side of the computer.

Your right. I think we just need to wait for OP to chime in so we don't misassume something.

So 12v never came with alternators, grid heaters, a/c, or cruise control???

And I guess the OD and TC wires just ground themselves too?
