I have a 1997 dodge ram 1500 sport that I wanted to put new halo projector head lights in and all the web sites say that none of the lights out say they will fit a sport truck dose any one know if they will work

 

Up through 1998, the Sports had the same headlights as all the other trucks, but 99-01 (or 02 for 2500) Sports had two bulbs per headlight as opposed to just one. So when they say "except sport" on headlights, it's referring to the 99-01s and they will fit your 97 no problem.

sorry to jack the thread but what do you do if you have a 2000 sport 1500 , i was looking into these as well ?

 

I have after markets in my 97 1500 sport. True the except Sports only apply to 99 and up.

 

Protuninglab.com has a few for the 99-01 sports. None that I think look very good, but go check them out, you might like them. Personally I love the look of the stock sport headlights, as long as they aren't fogged up

 

I have a '01 Sport that I just put LED halo projectors on that where "not for Sport models" Still working on ironing out a small wiring issue, but I will post a how to when I get it figured out.

 

This may be a dumb question but can you put hid lights in projectors
