Hard starting and backfire

It is sometimes difficult to get the plug wires snapped flly into place. Also double check that cap is correctly seated on disty in the notch. If it is a little cocked, it could cause a miss as the contact will not make on one or two cylinders.

Wouldn't hurt to recheck your firing order.....

Verify you are getting spark at the plug end of the number 7 wire.

Pull a couple plugs, and see what they look like.
