Don't worry about that leaky plenum gasket preventing you from getting there. The problems they cause are more of a long slow process. If worse came to worse, such as a plugged cat, you'd just have to remove the O2 sensor to relieve some exhaust backpressure.

You can drive it with a leaking plenum just about forever. Just watch your oil level. Mine was sucking down a quart every 50 miles..... Also, don't step too hard on the go pedal, if you hear the marbles-in-can noise, back off... save your engine.

Where abouts in michigan?

Well i made my own custom y pipe and just deleted the cat and o2 sensor. My cat was originally gutted when i got it. And okay i just wanted to make sure. My luck with this truck has not been very good. I never really get on it i baby all of my vehicles. Im leaving the north branch, lapeer area. And moving to the cheboygan, onaway area

You might want to weld in a bung and put that O2 back in. You'll be running rich without it.

Cut a hole. The sensor has to be in the exhaust stream to read it and send info to the PCM.
