Default 98 ram sometimes stalls

hey everyone, just joined up and was hoping you guys could help me figure out whats wrong with my truck, here goes!
98 dodge ram with 12v cummins, automatic, 280 miles. Just changed oil and filter in transmission, didnt look too bad in there, no idea on the history of it other than its been rebuilt at least once.
I seem to be having a few transmission issues.
-randomly will stall after coming to a stop while in drive, like at a drive-through, after I order it will bog down in rpm and stall out after I take my foot off the brake peddal. Doesnt do it every time, its totally random, and has rarely happened at a traffic light or stop sign, seems like you need to sit there for a few minutes and it will happen.
-shifting into overdrive! this one drives me crazy, between 40-45mph it will not stay in overdrive. I have to let off the gas peddal for it to shift, then it will jump in and out, or stay in for about 10 seconds and jump out again, give it any increase and throttle and it jumps right out. Once im up to 50mph its not a problem, can stay in overdrive lockup all day long. This is really annoying me, because my shift from 3rd gear to 4th is up at like 2300rpm! way too high for shifting my diesel.
-in overdrive lockup, i get a driveline vibration. this happens in overdrive lockup ONLY, no other time. Im not sure if its the torque convertor or not, my rear diff needs to be rebuilt(pinion bearings worn out) and I think the extra torque being delivered in OD lockup is causing this vibration in the rear diff. It definately feels like its coming from the rear axle, but this still might be a clue for my transmission troubles.
Thanks guys hopefully someone more experienced with this can help guide me through this!

Probably want to post this in the diesel section as well... I think you will get more help there sooner. We DO have a couple members with oil-burners here though..... Hopefully, one of them can chime in as well.

Is the 3-4 shift firm or soft? Did you adjust the bands during fluid change? Does it hesitate on any shifts? Have you done a throttle cable adjustment? Also, have you deleted the check valve in the cooler line?
