Default Codes P0441 and P0171 X2 plus VERY poor MPG's

Had a guy come up to me today and ask about my truck. He has a 1997 Ram ext cab 2wd with the 318 auto in it. 300+k on her.

He says it sputters sometimes and throws those two codes. He also said its like he can smell raw fuel. It doesnt happen all the time but when it does it doesnt have the power it should. He also stated that 3 gals of gas got him about 15 miles down the road.

I did tell him about the forum but said Id ask you guys if he hadnt.

Any help would be great as always.

thanks all

P0171 1/1 Fuel Sys Lean
P0441 Evap Purge Flow Monitor

Plenum is blown, O2 sensors are toast, cat is probably already hollowed out because of the blown plenum...... Possibly engine coolant temp sensor is on it's way out as well. (fix the other stuff first, and see what happens.)

Evap code is prolly a vacuum leak somewhere. (may also be related to the blown plenum....)
