They are $69 a piece for 16x8. Surprising how much more expensive 16's get than 15's. You'll want something like 4.5" backspace if you want the wheels about 2" or so beyond where they are now with a 11.5" wide tire. I have 12.5" wide tires on 15x8 with 3.75" BS and they stick out of the fenders a good 3-4". Looks perfect IMO.

I'm not sure about 16" but when I was shopping for 15" rims I absolutely could not find anything over 4" BS, so I was forced to have them spaced like they are.

Also, don't paint your rims black. Stock painted rims always scream cheese to me. They also make the truck look stock to the average onlooker. You won't get the look you're going for either without using spacers.

Umm.. no.. spacers are not something that should be on any truck.. painted stock wheels are fine. Gives the truck a whole new look.. looks better than an empty wallet for buying ne wheels also.15 inch rims tend to not fit on a lot of rams due to clearance issues.. and yes he could get the look he wants without the stupid dangerous spacers.. rim width and backspacing will decide that look..

I'm looking for 1-2" of tire to stick out the fenders. But should i look for 15" or 16" wheels? I know more people around here have 16" ones and i can find tires easier but i can go on craigslist and there are alot of tires for 15" wheels.

So what's a good rim width/offset that will put my tires out about 1-2" more?

16X8 with 4 inch backspacing will put your tires about two inches further out. (additional rim width plus less backspacing than stock)

Before you spend the coin on 15 inch wheels, test fit them to make sure you can even put them on.

+1 on what HeyYou said.. 15inch wheels can cause a headache if you buy without a test fit.. If you want new rims get 16's so you wouldnt have to worry about grinding anything to make clearance.

Alright thanks, but i heard about the 15" wheels being problems on the 2000+ Rams due to the dual brake calipers or something? But I'll keep a look out on some 16" wheels too. 8 inch wide wheels won't cause cupping when i put 12.5" wide tires on will they?

Yeah I'll look around. I just don't like that they are like 20+ more dollars compared to 15" wheels.

A 12.5 tire has a minimum wheel width of 8 inches. So there would be no issues there. it is actually a good setup. Wheels always get more expensive with size.. is rather pay the extra money than have to grind things
